The form is very simple and includes a few check boxes and a payment slip, allowing me to renew my domains for the low price of $29.00 each. I appreciate the reminder, and if I didn’t know any better I might have checked the boxes and mailed my payment in. The only problem is, Liberty Names of America is not the company I currently use to register my names, and I only pay $8 for each annual renewal, not $29.

The official-looking notice uses a header that says “Domain Name Expiration Notice” which could easily confuse people into believing that this is their official renewal notice from their current domain company. Not realizing that it is a different company charging almost four times as much per year, many people probably have already been tricked into transferring their domain names to Liberty Names of America at the much higher price. Shame on you Liberty Names of America. Shame on you.
